What's a Guy (or Gal) to Do?

Lately, I've received a few requests from consumers asking me to tell them the value of jewelry they purchased from vendors who either don't supply proper documentation on the merchandise, or they question the price they've paid. These people paid money for something they found to be beautiful, but are not secure in the value they have received.
This is sometimes referred to as 'buyer's remorse.' But, in the case of jewelry, you've purchased more than just a ring, a bracelet, or a necklace. You've purchased a memory--and we don't want to tarnish that memory with thoughts of doubt or overpayment.
What's a guy (or gal) to do? Make your purchase from someone who can SHOW you the value, and will be there for ALL the questions that come to mind AFTER you leave the store. You want your memories to last--you want your jewelry to last--so why shouldn't your jeweler be there for you, too?
Shop with your local jeweler--preferably a member of the American Gem Society. That's what you should do.
